The Formosa Garden Village (FGV) is a premium retirement village situated in Plettenberg Bay on the Western Cape’s Garden Route, a pristine and unspoiled part of our beautiful country. Situated on a north-facing slope with wonderful views of the Tsitsikamma Mountains, it is close to all major facilities such as shops, beaches, restaurants, medical and emergency services.
FGV has long been recognized as a beautifully maintained property with exceptionally high standards of care and a thriving social community.
Cottages
Cottages are set among landscaped gardens facing north with lovely views of the Tsitsikamma mountains. The cottages are positioned to allow for maximum privacy.
Healthcare Centre
Our healthcare facility plays a key role in ensuring our residents are well looked after and help is a call away in the case of any emergency. Over time, inevitably our health can deteriorate, making it vital to have access to excellent healthcare facilities. Our well-equipped, professionally staffed Healthcare Centre provides residents and members with multiple options based on the level of care required.
There is a general trend towards having greater independence, privacy and autonomy, and to this end assisted living and mid-care can be provided in a person’s cottage, for those who are wanting to stay in their own familiar surroundings. Assisted living provides some assistance with daily activities whereas the Healthcare Centre is set up for people who need full-care from skilled medical professionals providing services daily.
Membership
The Formosa Garden Village is a membership-based Organization. This fee is currently R330 per person annually or part thereof and it is reviewed annually. The annual membership fee is subject to change. Once membership is approved, members can add their and their spouse’s /partners name on a waiting list for a cottage. You are required to pay a non-refundable R2000.00 deposit and thereafter maintain your annual FGV membership fee.
Units will be allocated according to the waiting list sequence.
