Our Team

FGV has a full-time, highly experienced manager and team of employees known and respected for their empathy in dealing with residents. An Executive Committee consisting of ten members comprised of residents and non-residents, holds regular information sessions  to ensure that all matters requiring attention are heard and addressed.

The Executive Committee meets monthly, and meets with residents bi-annually to discuss any matters arising. In addition to the AGM and budgetary feedback, the quarterly in-house newsletter provides information.

Governed by its constitution, sound financial management with excellent accounting principles, FGV is financially self-sustainable and well-funded. Audits are conducted bi-annually, with clean audits being the standard.

FGV is a non-profit retirement village, and has one of only a few registered and legally compliant Healthcare Centres along the Garden Route. The Non-Profit Public Benefit Organisation Registration number is 009-206 NPO.

Formosa Garden Village (FGV) is a life right scheme.

Understanding life rights and the benefits.

Why is it important to know this?

Formosa Garden Village is run by, and on behalf of the residents/members, without the intervention of any developer or management company and as it is a Public Benefit Organisation, there is no profit incentive, the objective is to breakeven each and every year. This has important financial implications for those wanting to buy into the scheme.
